History


Situated in Broward County, Florida, Lauderhill's population is over 67,000. A part of the metropolitan area of South Florida, this city was originally going to be named Sunnydale, but the city's name was picked instead. Until the late 1980s, Lauderhill was
pretty much a retirement home for Jewish people. Now it is home to African Americans and West Indians, but there is still a sizable and diverse community at it's core.
