History


Named after Luther Halland, Hallandale Beach, Florida is a beautiful city in Broward County, Florida. There were not any permanent residents in what was then called Hallandale, until the later part of the 19th century. Many Seminole Indians were known for hunting on the area. The area was settled in 1895, and incorporated as a town in 1927. In 1947 Hallandale was incorporated as a city. Later in the year 1999, the name was change to Hallendale Beach , Florida.
